Q. I can’t make reservations or add more people to my current reservation.
We apologize for the inconvenience. It seems like there are no available slots left for the date and time you requested. If you already made a reservation, you can still bring additional guest(s) with you. At this time, we’d like to note that walk-ins are welcome, but entry is subject to availability and there may be a short wait depending on the gallery capacity.

Q. How do I change my reservation to a different date or time?
In order to change your reservation, you must cancel the current reservation, and make a new reservation. Please open the confirmation email sent to you and click on “Click here to modify or cancel your registration” to first cancel your reservation. Then, please make a new reservation.

Q. Do you need to make reservations?
Walk-ins are accepted, with a wait time determined based on the gallery capacity at the time of your visit. Due to this, entry cannot be guaranteed. We encourage you to make an online reservation to ensure entry regardless of the gallery capacity at the time of the scheduled visit, as we experience a sudden surge of visitors at times. Please visit the exhibition page to make your reservation.

Q. What are the gallery hours?
Weekdays: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Weekends: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. We notify guests about our closing time 10 minutes before closing.

Q. How long can we stay?
Most guests have spent 45 to 90 minutes in our gallery. Depending on the occupancy rate, guests are welcome to stay longer until closing time.

Q. What if we are running late and can’t make it to our reservation time?
Guests are encouraged to arrive on time. The reservation slot will not be available to those who arrive more than 20 minutes late for their reservation time. Late arrivals must join the queue at the end, as their reservation is no longer saved in the system.

Q. Where can I find JAPAN HOUSE LA and the exhibition?
The exhibition is hosted in our gallery, located on Level 2 of Ovation Hollywood. For directions to JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles and our exhibition space, please call 1-800-516-0565.

Q. What’s the parking situation? Is parking validation available?
The Ovation Hollywood parking structure is located underground below the complex. Please enter from Highland Ave., next to Loews Hollywood Hotel. With validation, it is $3 for the first 2 hours and is $2 for every 20 minutes thereafter, with a daily maximum charge of $20. Please see here for more information.

Q. Can I take photos or videos inside?
No video recording is allowed. You may take photos, but flash photography is not allowed.

Q. Can we bring pets?
Only service animals are permitted. Other animals, including emotional support animals, will be politely declined from entering the spaces.

Q. Can we bring children and are strollers allowed?
Yes, we welcome guests of all age. We allow strollers, but we are unable to monitor them during your visit. Visitors can leave them outside at their own risk.

Q. Can I bring my food or drink inside?
Neither food nor beverages are permitted inside the gallery.
